Avere un protocollo scritto sull’alimentazione dei lattanti e dei bambini in linea con le linee d’indirizzo del Ministero della Salute e con il Codice Internazionale
Formare tutto il personale all’applicazione del protocollo scritto di cui sopra
Informare tutte le donne sui benefici del latte materno e sugli svantaggi dell’alimentazione artificiale
Sostenere e incoraggiare le madri per iniziare e mantenere l’allattamento materno
Allestire uno spazio per accogliere le madri con i loro bambini
Promuovere l’immagine della madre che allatta al seno ed evitare di promuovere quella della madre che usa il biberon
Consegnare, all’atto della vendita, alle madri i sostituti del latte materno solo su loro specifica richiesta (Nota: per sostituti del latte materno il Codice Internazionale intende: tutti i latti in polvere o liquidi, di partenza, proseguimento, crescita , speciali, etc.; tutti gli alimenti e le bevande per l’alimentazione complementare quando commercializzati o comunque rappresentati come idonei, con o senza modifiche, a sostituire parzialmente e totalmente il latte materno; biberon e tettarelle)
Acquistare i sostituti del latte materno senza aderire a campagne di sconto e rifiutare qualunque gadget promozionale da consegnare alle madri
Promuovere ed attivare nella comunità iniziative e progetti in rete con altri attori sociali che tutelano l’allattamento materno.
